The Material - anchor systems | vhi

Ever since the development of monolithic refractory products, metal anchoring systems have been predominantly used to fix these in their installation location. With the exception of a few specific applications, metal anchoring is the technically and economically sensible choice due to its versatility in dimensions, design and alloy variations. Making the right choice of anchoring system involves paying special attention to the thermal and corrosive resistance of the material. Two aspects are of foremost importance here:

  • The choice of material and its composition as well as the properties in terms of application requirements and
  • the specification of the feed stock for the manufacture of the anchoring systems to achieve the best conditions for an optimal component.
