Description
When mounting refractory concrete linings there are repeated situations where there are very high walls. Installing walls of this kind without structural breaks would probably cause major problems due to elongation which in turn could lead to a complete failure of the lining. For this reason even at the design engineering stage, brackets are planned to divide large areas of walls into individual sections. These sections are more controllable in terms of the expansion. As well as dividing large walls into sensible sections, brackets are also frequently used where there are openings and gaps to support the load of the masonry above.
vhi brackets are supplied in a number of types. There are straight (Type S) and radial (Type R) brackets with differing dimensions. We have limited the lengths of brackets for the standard element to 750 mm to guarantee ease of use, especially on the site.
One special type of brackets is Type TB. In the case of monolithic linings, the TB bracket is the right support element because a continuous bracket is not always necessary in this type of lining. The TB bracket is available in two versions. The TB-70 is manufactured from material that is 10 mm thick. Where the requirements placed on the supporting force are lower, Type TB-35 is suitable; the material thickness of this version is 5 mm.
