MODA
The high temperature wool modules are installed with modul anchors that are used in the most diverse shapes. They can be welded or screwed to the steel structure. vhi supplies suitable anchor systems to satisfy a wide range of requirements for all types of lining, with or without back-up insulation.
FIBERFIX
Blankets in layer installation are pushed onto bayonet rods, the individual layers are fixed using mounting clips and secured with a twist clip once all layers have been installed. In applications involving high temperatures the final twist clip is substituted by a ceramic component, the cuplock. This prevents gases from the furnace atmosphere causing corrosion on the exposed ends of the fibre fixing pins and the twist clips. The end of the locking pin is in the cuplock and therefore stands back from the hot side of the lining; it is protected by a fibre mastic plug which closes the cuplock opening. vhi has further developed the internal geometry of the cuplock. An undercut prevents the fibre mastic plug, which shrinks when temperature is applied, from being able to fall out, especially in the case of roof linings. (US patent 7886495)
